Neglect and Updates

Oh my... I have badly neglected this poor blog. And as a result have missed recording many of Hamie 's milestones and cuteness.

Latest statistics: Approximately 100cm and 17kg as at the end of Dec 2011. Have not weighed nor measured her since.

Started school on Jan 3, has not stopped crying since. Cries every single morning. Nanny still having a hard time saying goodbye, we have to forcefully pry her from nanny's arms.

Displaying too much sass for a 2.75 yr old. Doesn't hesitate to correct us if we have not gotten our facts right.

Makes our hearts melt on a regular basis. Offer to feed me my meds when I'm unwell, offers us her food before she has eaten, regularly reminds us that we are a family and asks for family kisses and hugs. Just asked me this evening "Kiss me" ... Blur me mistook it for "Excuse me" ?!!!!!

Utterly carefree and happy child.

Oh how she has grown:

"Humpty Dumpty ... fried egg because fall down"

She tsaid this last night. The first time she has used the word "because".

She surprises me in little ways every day.

Last night, after dinner was laid on on the table, she went up to the food n told us that it was "Food Food Time".

How she comes up with these phases, I don't know. No one has said that to her before.

Today, she was looking at her clothes in the wardrobe, identifying them as "Baby's shirts".

She looked through them n then started asking "Bi- gim-mi where?"

And smiled widely when I took it out of the drawers for her.

A Request

She made a request today. I think it's a first.

She requested for a Bi-kim-mi.

She's 2 and she's already asking for a BIKINI!

I'm in shock.

She loves the song Time to Say Goodbye.

She sits still and listens, transfixed. Her eyes never once leaving the computer screen.

She's a sweet one. She woke up n whined, I got up to carry her and hit my shin against the cot.

As I carried her, I whined n groaned in pain.

It took a while to register that she was stroking my head, comforting me. All this without prompting.

My heart melted.

She said :"too-morn-know" ... Tomorrow.

Her first 3 syllable word.

Her vocab has improved by leaps n bounds.

We : " A is for ..."
Hamie:" ple" (she means apple)

B is for baby, C is for cat, D is for dog, E is for egg, F is for frog, G is for goat, H is for horse, I is for cream(ice-cream) .
